Vital is the heart of a concept which enables one to easily install several different safety components in the same safety circuit and still achieve safety category 4 according to EN 954-1.
Vital is a small, 22.5 mm in width, electronic safety module which dynamically monitors several safety components.
It has optional automatic or manual supervised reset, dual safety outputs and info output for reset indication and information to a PLC. Vital´s detachable connector blocks simplify trouble-shooting and the replacement of the module.
Combine the Vital with the Eden Safety Switches.
Eden is a non-contact, non-magnetic dynamic sensor consisting of the Adam and Eva components. A coded signal is transmitted from the Vital via the Adam and Eva which modifies the signal and sends it back again.
The maximum sensing distance between Adam and Eva is 10mm. Up to 30 Edens can be connected in series and still achieve the same safety level in the safety circuit.
Eden-E manages harsh environments e.g high pressure wash down, high and low temperature (+100 to -70DegC)
Safety PLC’s
The Pluto is a compact 45mm wide Safety PLC. Unlike ordinary PLC systems, Pluto utilizes two microprocessors which both control and monitor each safety function for correct operation. Each input to the system is connected to each processor, each having their own memory and executing their own program. The processors continuously compare the results with each other to ensure integrity of data.
It is very easy to program as it is an “all master” system. Up to 32 Pluto devices can utilise each others inputs and individually control their own outputs via their own internal program. Each Pluto has 20 I/O, of which 4 are independent safety outputs. It is also possible to connect dynamic safety circuits (see Vital) to the inputs of Pluto.
Wiring a CAT4 system is easy using Jokab’s TINA connectors and cables.
